Special Christmas Interview with Author Jordan Deen

1. What is your favorite Christmas movie? Is there a reason/tradition behind your pick?

I think I share the same favorite movie with most of those in my generation: 'A Christmas Story'. I watch it every year, quote it more and more the closer we get to xmas and one day, I aspire to own my very own beaver jacket and fra-gi-le award.

2. If you could kiss anyone under the mistletoe, who would it be??? (Significant others not allowed!)

Ohhhh this one is SO easy for me. I'd totally lock lips with Chris Evans, because- well you know- he's hot.

3. What was the best, and worst, Christmas you ever had?

The best xmas I ever had was the xmas right before I turned 16. I had just gotten my permit and my parents gave me a candy apple red Camaro to celebrate. It was amazing and I still miss that car. It sparked my never-ending love of muscle cars.

My worst xmas was the year I turned 7. My family home burned down and we lost everything we owned about a month before xmas. It was a horrible period of time in my life that ultimately led to the divorce of my parents and my mom and I having to live in a panel van for about 8 months and share food. Yes, that was by far the worst xmas I ever had.

4. What is your favorite thing about Christmas?

Family. The best thing about the holiday is that it seems to stop all the drama within the family and everyone is just nicer and we all get together to eat and share stories. It's the best part of the holidays. Plus, I have an excuse to eat pie all day. So, that's always a good thing.

5. Which character that you've written loves Christmas the most? Worst? Why?

I haven't written a character that really likes xmas.... maybe it's time for me to work on a new book!!

Thank you, Jordan!!!
