Happy Tuesday!
It's a wonderful day for me, because tonight I am beginning my mini-vacation. I'll be going to LAX tonight and taking the Red Eye to South Carolina. It's not a family trip, just a Woman's Getaway.
I'm actually leaving a day earlier than my friends so that I can meet the Fabulous M. Leighton for dinner tomorrow evening. We've been talking online and through email, but I'm totally stoked that we'll be meeting in person. For more on the Amazing Ms. M, and her work, visit her website here.
Thursday through Sunday, I will be meeting up with three of my friends from college: Leisha, Lori, and Pam. This is our first ever trip together and I can't wait. Myrtle Beach won't know what hit it!
Another reason why this is a wonderful day is that the gorgeous designer Stephanie Mooney, is currently working on the cover for my Contemporary New Adult book, Make it Last. I'm sure you've all seen and loved Stephanie's covers, but if you haven't, you can check out her work on her website.
Finally, Make it Last is going through final revisions, and will be out on November 12th. Make it Last is the first book in the Friends & Lovers Trilogy, and I'm thrilled that it'll be out soon.
I'm scheduling a Release Day Blitz with SupaGurl Tours. I can't wait for November 12th. If you're looking to schedule a tour, you can check out the website for SupaGurl Tours here.
I hope you all have a great week. Feel free to comment and let me know what's new with you!

Pimp Your Favorite Writers/Bloggers
Happy Sunday!
I got the idea for this post from my friend, Tameri Etherton. She hosts a Pimp and Promote post on her blog, and I thought it would be fun to do one here. The idea is to Pimp your favorite writers and/or bloggers, or promote something new that you have coming out.
You can check out Tameri's fabulous blog here.
I will start by showcasing some of my favorite people, and you can do the same by pimping or promoting in the comments!
WRITERS:
Raine Thomas has two trilogies set on the Estilorian Plane. Defy is the first book in the second set of trilogies, The Firstborn Trilogy. Raine's concept is unique and her writing takes you on a wonderful journey. You can find Defy on Amazon and you can visit her website for more information on the world she has created.
M. Leighton has over 15 books available for purchase, but today I chose to pimp, The Wild Ones. This Contemporary New Adult book exploded and made M. Leighton a New York Times Bestselling Author. You need to check it, and all of her books, out! You can purchase it on Amazon and visit her website for more on her work.
Chelsea Fine is a YA Author. Her series, The Archers of Avalon, currently have two books available for purchase. Anew is the first book in the series. I love the concept behind this series, and Tristan is on the hottest guys ever written. You can find it on Amazon and visit her website for updates on her writing.
BLOGGERS:
I would also like to pimp some of my favorite bloggers. You can check out their blogs below:
The Autumn Review
A Diary of a Book Addict
The Bookish Babe
The Book Hookup
SupaGurl Books
I could keep going on and on with writers and bloggers that I love, but I figure I need to give you all a chance to add your favorites.
Thanks for playing, and I can't wait to see who you pimp!

The Next Big Thing Blog Hop
Welcome to the Next Big Thing Blog Hop where we will be hopping our way to various blogs to find out what fellow authors are working on. At this stop, I will be answering 10 questions on my work in progress. Thank you Jeanne Bannon for tagging me to participate.
Here are my 10 questions along with the answers. Enjoy! And as always, feel free to let me know what you think.
What is the working title of your book? Make it Last
Where did the idea come from for the book? I wanted to write a New Adult Romance and had been listening to a lot of Country music, and the idea to write a contemporary romance set in a small Texas town sounded like the perfect fit.
What genre does your book fall under? New Adult Contemporary Romance.
Which actors would you choose to play your characters in a movie rendition? I have been pinning people that resemble my idea of the characters to a board in pinterest, you can see it here. Not all of them are actors.
What is the one-sentence synopsis of your book? When her first love returns and wants a second chance, will Briana be able to put aside the hurt and follow her heart?
Will your book be self-published or represented by an agency? Self-Published
How long did it take you to write the first draft of your manuscript? The first draft took about a month. I was really excited about the concept, so the writing came pretty naturally.
What other books would you compare this story to within your genre? This will be the first in a trilogy, which I have written with the many trilogies written by Nora Roberts in mind. All of the characters will be in each of the books, with each book telling one couples story.
Who or What inspired you to write this book? Nora Roberts and Country music.
What else about your book might pique the reader’s interest? This is my first attempt at New Adult, third person past tense, and my first sex scene. I am really enjoying experimenting with my writing and pushing myself outside of my comfort zone. Hopefully the readers will enjoy this tale of second chances.
Thank you for stopping by. Next week be sure to stop by Marilyn Almodovar's blog, Writing on the Sunny Side of the Street to see what she is working on.
