I absolutely LOVE White Christmas. We watched this every year, and I fell in love with the dancing and singing. Each time I watch this movie, I am taken back to special times with my family.
2. If you could kiss anyone under the mistletoe, who would it be??? (Significant others not allowed!)
Significant other aside, I would have to say I'd kiss Shemar Moore. He's hot!
3. What was the best, and worst, Christmas you ever had?
My best Christmas was coming home to see my family after I enlisted in the Navy. My worst Christmas was also my best Christmas. I didn't think I was going to get to go home, but luckily, my wish came true!
4. What is your favorite thing about Christmas?
I love giving! I suck at keeping gifts secret...just ask my husband, but to see a smile on someone's face just blesses me.
5. Which character that you've written loves Christmas the most? Worst? Why?
Macyn adores Christmas, although she hasn't had an opportunity to show it. She loves the lights and the loving feelings that go along with Christmas.
Thanks, S.L.!

Bio:
I was born & raised in the southwestern part of Virginia. I attended a small high school, in a coal mining community, which housed grades 7-12, with a total of 201 students the year I graduated. My graduating class size was 31!!! I can truly say I'm thankful I was lucky enough to attend a small school because we were "one big happy family"!
After high school, I attended a couple of semesters of college, but not knowing what I wanted to do when I grew up, I decided to save my money until I did. Not too long after becoming a college dropout, I decided I would give the military a shot, and I joined the United States Navy as a Sonar Technician.
I spent several years after my military stint working in automotive at a supplier to the Big 3. I experienced a lot of good things and met a lot of great people along the way!
I moved to central Virginia with my husband and children in 2009, and that is when I began experimenting with writing. I started a blog on blogger.com as a way to relax. I found then that I really enjoyed writing. After I finished the first fiction blog, I did a second one. I was proud that I had accomplished that because I had never been a person who enjoyed writing.
After I finished my second, I decided that I would try publishing my stories (both were well over 70k words). I had checked out Smashwords, and was interested. When I looked for my stories on my computer, both were gone! I had just tried reformatting my computer and thought I had saved them to a flash drive, but I was mistaken. The stories were lost forever because I had already deleted my blog entries, too!
I gave up writing for a couple of years and moved to Georgia with my husband and children! I published my first book in October 2013. Once that was complete, I started on the second book, Macyn's Awakening, but about seven chapters into writing, my husband announced we were moving to Florida (where we currently live). My writing paused during the move and transition, but I can say I have now began again. I published Macyn's Awakening in February 2014. Macyn's Dream, the third and final book in the Macyn McIntyre Series, Macyn’s Decision, is a work in progress.
