November Author Interviews Featuring Miles Hightower!

Today I'd like to welcome, Miles Hightower!

Thanks so much for taking the time to answer my questions.
I'm excited to have you and can't wait to learn more about you.

1. Where do you find inspiration for your books?
Inspiration for me comes from real life experiences and my own perverted mind.

2. Is there a routine to your writing?
No I don't have a writing routine. Being a husband and a Dad I write when I have the chance and hope the words come to me.

3. Who are some of your favorite writers? How have they inspired you?
I don't read much actually.  Especially now that I am writing.  If I have free time I write instead of read.  But I have read Nicole Edwards and Kendall Grey.  I suppose they inspired me because reading them, I asked if there were many male writers, and if they wrote from the male POV.  At the time I did not know of the other male authors that are in fact out there.  So I thought it might be interesting to write a story from the male POV.

4. What are you working on now?
I just finished my second book, the sequel to Desires Unleashed, Dreams.  So, I am working on promoting that.   Dreams is releasing the day this interview is to be posted.

5. What advice would you give to unpublished writers?
My advise would be to just go for it.  Write when you are inspired to write until you get it done, with no pressure or deadlines.  And when you get it done and are happy with it, work on the publishing part.

Bio
Thank you for showing interest in my book.  I hope you enjoy my stories.

About me:
Miles Hightower is my alter ego and now pen name.  He came about as my wife started reading erotic romance and discussing the books in FB chat groups.  Wanting to be apart of what interested her, I came up with Miles Hightower as a persona to kind of hide behind in the social media world.

We are very similar in many ways.  One of which is we both tend to shy away from social media sites, even though that's why Miles was created.  You will notice Sara Hightower takes care of most of that stuff for me.  And don't be offended if you send Miles a friend request and he doesn't accept it right away.  We are different in that Miles is a bit more outgoing.  I, personally tend to be a bit of a wall flower at a party or where large groups of people gather, where Miles doesn’t seem to have any issues with getting to know people.  Both Miles and I like to joke around.  We are sarcastic, and try to find the humor in even the most stressful situations.  The real me also likes to flirt and tease, and the Miles side of me actually allows that to get out.

More about me; I am a husband, for 16 years and counting, to my wife Sara.  We have two children; a son, 11, and a daughter who is 7.  When not being a dad to them, I also enjoy flying.  At one point I wanted to be a career corporate pilot, flying Lear jets all over the country.  After I graduated from college I taught people how to fly for three years.  Long story short, a flying career didn't work out and I ended up working in manufacturing.  But that's where I met Sara.  So it did work out after all.  I still work in manufacturing, as a Quality Engineer and now just fly for fun when the weather is nice.

Along with flying I also enjoy playing golf, darts, taking my family to water parks, sitting in our hot tub with Sara and a glass of wine and now writing.  I tried to learn the guitar a few years ago, but that didn’t go so well.  Apparently I have no musical talent whatsoever.  I am a product of the 80’s and still am very into the hair band music from that era.  And no, I didn’t have big hair back in the day, but I did sport a mullet.

As far as my writing goes, I write about fictional erotic fantasy from a guy’s perspective.  About how a guy might think, feel or act in a particular situation.  My stories are stuff I make up with a little reality of the things that interest me (like flying) and how life is in general tossed in.  I do research some things that I don't know anything about in an effort to make the story seem a little more real than complete fantasy.  If it's on the internet it's true, right?  I like my book(s) to come of as fantasy, yet slightly plausible.
