Special Halloween Interview with Author C.J. Pinard

1.   What’s the scariest thing you’ve ever heard/read/seen? It can be from a book, movie, or from the campfire at night…

A few of Stephen King's novels have scared me silly, but a short story called "Serial" by Jack Kilborn and Blake Crouch scared the living crap out of me!

I also may or may not still be slightly traumatized by A Nightmare on Elm Street when I was young and snuck and watched it without my mom's permission.

2.   Who would you like to bring back as a zombie? Why?

Robin Williams! There's nothing better than humorous horror.

3.   What is your favorite thing about Halloween?

All the fun horror movie marathons on TV and the magic in the air the night of Halloween night.

4.   What was your best Halloween costume?

I dressed as Elvira one year. I had to duct tape my boobs together.

5.   Is there an author out there that you’re pretty sure is a witch? Tell us who and why you think so!

Definitely Cassandra Clare, because she put me under a spell with all her wonderful books :)

Thank you, C.J.!!!

How to find C.J.:

Bio:
C.J. is a west coast native who has lived on both coasts and now lives near the middle, in Colorado! Coming from a family of writers and editors, she feels writing is in her blood and hopes people will lose themselves for a little while in the fantasy and fun of her stories. She also loves sweet red wine, the SF 49ers, and unlike most authors, doesn't have any cats. When she's not writing, she can be found chasing around her kids or working at her day job, which she totally feels interferes with her real life, but also sometimes gives her inspiration for her books, since reality is sometimes way more interesting than fiction.

My newest release, "Boots Beneath My Bed (Miranda's Story) is available!

Amazon

Blurb:
Miranda Cates finally graduates from college and is excited to begin her dream career in law enforcement. After the final betrayal and heartbreak of her college boyfriend, Chris, she moves back home with a firm plan in place for her life.

However, the life she has carefully mapped out for herself takes a serious left turn. Miranda finds she not only has to be strong for herself, but for the daughter who hadn’t been part of her plan.

Determined to still believe in true love, life throws Miranda one more wicked curveball. She meets Jace Lawless, a hot minor league baseball player, whose warm aqua eyes and big dimple have her unraveling her carefully laid plans. A man who may be just be too good to be true.

Boots Beneath My Bed (Miranda's Story) is book 3 in the Duty & Desire series, and while it is recommended to read the books in order, it's not necessary.
