Special Halloween Interview with Author Emerald O'Brien

1.   What’s the scariest thing you’ve ever heard/read/seen? It can be from a book, movie, or from the campfire at night…

The scariest thing I've ever read was IT, by Stephen King. I was scared of clowns as a kid, but then I grew out of it. When I read IT, it brought my fear right back. Stephen King will do that to you... and I love it.

2.   Who would you like to bring back as a zombie? Why?

I'm pretty happy with letting the dead rest in peace, but for a little fun, I'd bring back Michael Jackson so he could dance to thriller again.

3.   What is your favorite thing about Halloween?

I love almost everything about Halloween, but one of my favourite things is to watch all my favourite scary movies. I love AMC's Fearfest, where they play them back to back in October. I watch scary movies all year round, but I have classics that I watch every Halloween (Hocus Pocus, and Halloween anyone?).

4.   What was your best Halloween costume?

My best Halloween costume was probably when I dressed up as a bunny as a kid. Something about kids and onesie costumes is just too cute. Is it sad that that was my best one so long ago? This year, I want to be a scarecrow...or an angel...okay, so I haven't decided yet.

5.   Is there an author out there that you’re pretty sure is a witch? Tell us who and why you think so!

Hmm, Tiffany Daune is probably a witch because she loves everything magical. She's also a candy lover and always has a big stash on her...Hansel and Gretel anyone?

Thank you, Emerald!!!
