November Author Interviews Featuring Kayla Smith

Today I'd like to welcome, Kayla Smith!

Thanks so much for taking the time to answer my questions.
I'm excited to have you and can't wait to learn more about you.

1. Where do you find inspiration for your books?
It just hits me. I can be at work or anywhere really, and when I get an idea I send it to myself.

2. Is there a routine to your writing?
No not really. I sit on my couch and have coffee or soda, usually coffee, and I have some snacks, usually something with chocolate in it and I write. Oh yeah I need music to write. Any music that I feel in the mood for when I start.

3. Who are some of your favorite writers? How have they inspired you?
I love Heather Hildenbrand, Quinn Loftis, and Tiffany King. Their stories bring me to a whole new world. I love getting lost in their books, but it also pains me when I finish them and realize I am back to reality. Their books make me want to write like them. To be able to bring people to a new world, even if only briefly.

4. What are you working on now?
I am just finishing up Into Pandora, which is book 2 of my Pandora Series. I am also working on Secrets of Serenity, which is a book I am working on with another author. They are both paranormal books, which is my favorite genre to write.

5. What advice would you give to unpublished writers?
My advice would be to write, never publish anything that hasn't been edited, work through your fear, and join me in the Connective Collective calls that Heather Hildenbrand hosts.
