November Author Interviews with Eliza Boyd

Today I'd like to welcome, Eliza Boyd!

Thanks so much for taking the time to answer my questions.
I'm excited to have you and can't wait to learn more about you.

1. Where do you find inspiration for your books?

In a word, everywhere. But mostly music. Country music, to be specific. However, sometimes, someone will say something, and my brain will go, "What if..." and spin an whole story out of something. So there's that too. :)

2. Is there a routine to your writing?

I wish there were. LOL. I basically write whenever/wherever I can. That means I'll sometimes take my computer in the car when my husband drives. Or I'll try to sneak a few minutes here and there while I'm working. I don't have a daily word count to hit or anything. I do try to write every day though. :)

3. Who are some of your favorite writers? How have they inspired you?

Oh man. They've ALL inspired me in one way, shape, or form. But some of my favorites are KA Tucker, because she's gone outside the box and written what she loves--and it's been successful. I love her books so much. And then there's Brittainy C. Cherry. Her books are so lyrical and gorgeous. Her writing style is unique, and it inspires me to push to be better as a writer too.

4. What are you working on now?

Right now, I'm working on a book about a twenty-eight-year-old widow with a four-year-old daughter. She hasn't yet moved on after her husband's death a year and a half ago, but someone's caught her eye. Except he's not someone she should ever have a relationship with. :) I'm also going to work on getting book two in my Make a Change series out as well! It's long overdue.

5. What advice would you give to unpublished writers?

Keep writing. Always work to make your craft better. Read books, take classes, get feedback, and grow some thick skin. Oh, and always act professional. :)

Coffee or Tea

Tea! Mint tea. I'm sipping some right now. :)

Wine or Beer

Neither. But if I had to choose, wine for sure. :)

Movies or Books
OH. Man. Books? I love both!

Hemsworth or Pratt
Pratt! Those eyes...

Summer or Winter
Summer, hands down. I live in Phoenix for a reason. :)

Beach or Mountains
AHH. I love both! But I live by the mountains, so... :)

Pizza or Cheeseburger
Pizza. Vegan pizza, of course. :)

Love at First Sight or Friends to Lovers
Dude, these are tough. Friends to lovers? I heart that kind of story. :)

Halloween or Christmas
Halloween

Game of Thrones or Outlander
I haven't read or seen either one, but I'd probably have to say Outlander. :)

Bio

Eliza Boyd is a contemporary women's fiction and romance author. Also an avid reader, she writes novels, short stories, poetry, and whatever else strikes her fancy. Born and raised in Northern Illinois, she now lives in sunny Arizona with her husband and her plethora of animals. When she's not reading, writing, or working, she can be found walking around her neighborhood (for exercise, not for stalking), taking photos of her pets, or catching up on her favorite shows. Catching up really means binge-watching.

Feel free to contact her on any of her social media sites. She spends too much time on the Internet, so she'll probably get back to you right away.
